AGUOBU IWOLLO TOWN UNION SECURITY LUNCHEON

Going by the Enugu State Neighborhood Watch slogan, “If you watch me, I watch you”, we, the Aguobu Iwollo Town Union Neighborhood Watch (AITUNW) Committee, have unanimously agreed to involve all members of the Aguobu Iwollo Autonomous Community in our mission to protect the lives and properties of our indigenes and residents.

The AITUNW Committee has developed the “Aguobu Iwollo Town Union Security Premium Membership,” which offers three categories for stakeholder and community member involvement: Premium Gold, Premium Silver, and Premium Bronze. Each category comes with unique benefits and obligations, ensuring the long-term sustainability of our security outfit. Hence, we encourage everyone to adopt this initiative as an avenue to enhance the safety of lives and properties in our blessed community. More information about this will be provided during the security luncheon.

We have also introduced a minimum “N500 security catchment fee” for every building that houses people or properties in Aguobu Iwollo, which varies slightly depending on the type of building owned by the individual or entity. We believe that one cannot solve what they cannot measure, so we have meticulously enumerated all buildings in the five villages that make up the Aguobu Iwollo Autonomous Community, assigning numbers and area codes for effective data collection and inventory management. The “Area codes” (streets) are represented by the 21 Ebetes in Aguobu Iwollo. Each Ebete in the different areas starts with “House No. 1,” followed by other buildings or properties around it. You can view the details [here]. Please indicate if your building or property was not captured in the link above; we already have an online medium for you to register your building or property.

That being said, the AITUNW Committee also wants to inform everyone about our security luncheon coming this weekend. We urge each Ebete in Aguobu Iwollo to provide two names, including their Chairman and an additional person. These 42 individuals will be the luncheon champions to ensure a successful security launch. Full transparency, accountability, and effective inventory management procedures are being deployed by the security committee to ensure the efficient and proper utilization of money and material resources. We will continue to work hand in hand with all community members, those from different membership categories, and the diverse stakeholders and institutions in the community to ensure a unified security outfit. “Agbata obi onye bu chi ya”.
